I have a copy of that Doctor Who Magazine, somewhere at my Mum’s house.
IPC / Fleetway did a lot of merging of comics at one time, probably merging the lowest selling one with a better performing one, then introducing a new comic into the lineup.
DC Thomson did a similar thing in the 1980s, with The Dandy absorbing Nutty one year, and it’s replacement Hoot the next year.
