Doctor Who written by Harold Pinter is such a great description, Pinter could be very mysterious too.

If they had included any plain explanations in S&S, it would have diminished it, and if anything they went the other way and made it completely impenetrable to sustain its enigma. That title sequence is utterly baffling, but it sounds tremendously exciting, and sets the scene perfectly. Needless to say, the plot confusion also makes it terrifying.

It used to be rumoured that one of the characters in The Abdominal Snowman was played by Pinter under the stage name of David Baron, but it’s since been debunked as a fan myth.

I remember watching the first four assignments with my old girlfriend a few years ago.

The stories stood up well, if slow paced by 21st century standards. They probably work better being watched one a week rather than binge-watched.

We never find out much about S&S and their foes, which keeps the mystique up.
