Remember ordering the ‘Knight Rider explained’ book through my mandatory school reading club. Disappointment quickly set in as it almost entirely consisted of pictures of wobble-neck with his over sized belt buckles. Rubbish!

The pilot episode was full of continuity errors (towards the end, The Hoff was shot in the shoulder (with no blood, natch – don’t want to upset the kiddies, do we?) and he kept forgetting which side his injury was).

Quite an iconic series for the time, but probably won’t seem as good as I remember it like The Dukes Of Hazzard.
The pilot had Larry Anderson as Michael Long before being shot in the face & needing plastic surgery to turn him onto the Hoff, the original screening had Anderson using his own voice, but it later dubbed over by the David Hasselhoff.
Talking of dubbing, William Daniels usually pre-recorded a few episodes of KITT’s dialogue at a time on days off from the soap he was starring in.
