PRE-FAME atypically non-visual rubberfaced whimsy from Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, presenting a series of proto-Spinal Tap biographies of notable no-hopers from ‘the arts’. Not quite as weird as contemporaneous TV outing Rowan Atkinson Presents Canned Laughter, but they still had quite a way to go before becoming the nation’s favourite ‘Silent’ Comic Who Talks A Lot and Purveyour Of Finest Romantic Comedy Bilge respectively. First heard on Radio 3, of course, but there weren’t enough Cream-worthy shows on that station to merit a seperate category of its own.
