    Although I watched the whole series, I did so without enthusiasm. The video thing was an issue, it looked cheap, but as said in this podcast, it was just a total muddle, impossible to follow for a lot of the time and full of actors who were not on the same page.

    I like Neil Gaiman, but this shows a master of one medium can be all at sea in another. His Doctor Who episodes showed improvement (and Paterson Joseph would be a great Doctor, I notice he’s in the new version of The Sandman too).

    I remember the BBC making this at one of their periodic “we don’t need to bring Dr Who back” science fiction / fantasy dramas.

    Lots of good ideas but the whole thing was a bit random.

    There was a radio adaptation a few years ago that was supposed to be a lot better, which I didn’t round to listening.
