Time of Your Life, The

ONE OF the many “side projects” essayed by NOEL EDMONDS during his 1980s besweatered behelicopted heyday. Basically a sit-and-talk affair wherein Noelly took a back to the year which housed their greatest achievement (subtext: you washed-up old sod) and talked about what else was going on at the time. STEVE DAVIS was one of the guests. Bet that really stretched the memory.

Before Noel’s television career went imperial, he had a variety of shows. Late Late Breakfast Show was his biggest, although a minnow compared with what followed in the nineties, but The Time Of Your Life is a little remembered nostalgia fest and also he worked on TOp Gear now and again and advertised Austin Rover cars, Noel naturally driving a top of the range Rover Vitesse. Telly Addicts followed and proved to be a reliable banker for the Cosmic Orderer during the lean period between Late Late Breakfast Show and House Party. However, a box opening cult and his constant criticism of his former employer that had made him rich saw the undoing of Mr Edmonds.

This was one of Noel’s shows I don’t remember at all.

Whatever Next was another less remembered show of his, but important because it was during his rehabilitation period between Late Late Breakfast Show being axed & The Saturday Night Roadshow.
