Horses Galore

MORE FOAL PLAY, this time by way of a kids equinestravaganza deftly filling the Wednesday 5.10 slot and supervised by LESLEY JUDD. Mucho interviews with LUCINDA PRIOR-PALMER and the like, while Rags The Blue Peter Pony (destined never to grow into Rags The Blue Peter Horse, seemingly) featured on an almost weekly basis.

The theme tune to this show was Pulstar by Vangelis.

You borrowed that information from the “Title Music to Micro Men” thread in the forum didn’t you?

    C’mon. Admit it now. 🙂

Where do you find tv time slots (5.10) like that?
…Everywhere else says the host was Susan King.

The Actual presenter was Susan King, not Leslie Judd.

Leslie Judd presented a show called ‘Dance Crazy’ on ITV, after she left Blue Peter.

Someone on another site also says that the presenter was Susan George but it was definitely Susan King. I can however see a resemblance between them. A tie-in book which has her on the cover was published in 1979. Copies sometimes appear on Ebay – in fact there are a couple on there at the time of writing (June 2015).

I remember Susan King well. As a kid I had a horse-obsessed cousin called Joanne, and always had to sit through this show if it was on whenever I was at my Aunties. The only other show I remember seeing Susan King appear in was on that year’s All Star Record Breakers.

Yep. Definitely Susan King (ah…tight jodhpurs, and sweaters!) The show had something to with horses, apparently. “Drake is a well developed stallion and I can’t wait to ride him” I recall Susan saying.
