Amazing isn’t it – there’s always someone you’d forgotten had passed away when you see an obituary list like this? All of them much missed, but they’ll be long remembered. Reply Gavin December 29, 2008 at 5:28 pm Lovely Tribute. But you missed out Reg Varney. Reply OrangeRevel December 29, 2008 at 8:18 pm Ah, that was great. Thanks. Reply Rob Williams December 30, 2008 at 11:00 am They made television…. And Television made them… We aloowed them into our homes as if they were friends and now we salute then… RIP Reply Roman Empress December 31, 2008 at 5:11 pm Lovely. Reply David Bodycombe January 1, 2009 at 4:44 pm Superb as always. Still miss the weekly videos. Reply Arthur Nibble January 2, 2009 at 4:17 pm Absolutely beautiful. I gasped a couple of times when I saw faces who I forgot has passed away, and the Oliver Postgate caused me to choke back the tears. Reply Robert Woolley January 31, 2009 at 8:37 pm Well done. Shame you couldn’t have had a Mike Flex clip from Radio Active for Geoffrey Perkins and “salute to Thames” for Brian Cowgill Reply Glenn Aylett June 13, 2009 at 3:37 pm People like Bryan Cowgill and Bill Cotton are TV Cream heroes who created some of the greatest programmes of the Cream era. There are two excellent articles about them on the Transdiffusion website. We definitely need television executives like them now, when all that seems to be on are endless reality shows and crummy talent contests.
