The pianist, composer, arranger and forever gregarious host of MY MUSIC has died. He was 88.
Notable among the man’s many accomplishments were a stint as Associated Rediffusion’s light music consultant; his tenure as host of Radio 4′s brilliantly named Home In The Afternoon; and bagging an award for a Birds Eye frozen peas jingle, “Sweet as the moment when the pod went pop”.
