Vicky the Viking

YOUNG BOY (yes, Vicky can be a boy’s name too, like Lesley, or Stacy) warrior gains respect with his Norse chief dad and the ragbag army of vikings he leads. Had “bright ideas” by scratching head, rubbing nose in three different places, then clicking fingers with stars and the like spewing out from behind him. “I know! We’ll invent the catapult!”

I just started watching Trueblood and Eric the Viking has got me singing “Hi ho vicky vicky the viking” but for the life of me i couldnt remember where the song came from or why i was kept singing it whenever i saw Eric. Then i googled the lyrics and came up with this. I must have watched it as a baby or something.

They’ve made a film of this in Germany. It was a German show, originally Vicke or Wickie.

I remember the title character being ambiguous, like Vicky was not quite Victor, not quite Victoria…

At first I was disappointed this replaced Star Fleet, but soon liked watching it.

I remember doing that nose rub thing occasionally.

I only recently found out this, like Star Fleet I mentioned in my early post, was made in Japan but far less obvious.
