Man In a Suitcase

CERTAINLY WERE a hell of a lot of these “Men” about in the old days. Here’s RICHARD BRADFORD, living out of the titular travelling item in order to fight “unconventional” forces in “unconventional” ways, almost always culminating in a fist fight in a rural location on a blue screen.

Sort of like if James Dean had lived and ended up working for ITC. Brilliant theme tune retroactively ruined by Chris Evans.

One episode paired up Bill Owen & Rodney Bewes a few years before Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads?, this time as father & son.

Bewes played a young man with quite a few issues, whipping Bradford with a belt & nearly getting himself killed by trying some bridge climbing a decade before Saturday Night Fever show.
