WEIRD DRAMA about a teenage girl who goes to stay with her dad and stepfamily for the summer and meets a real (but conveniently humanoid) alien bloke who communicates with his folks back home via an old radio. Hideous-looking extra-terrestrials battled for attention with endless references to Curosity Killed The Cat and Sinitta.

I found myself wandering through the uppler level of Exeter Bus & Coach Station, while they were preparing to shoot the scenes (The aforementioned estranged daughter in cowboy hat caught my eye as I noticed the camera crew).
When I saw it on TV, I started location spotting, alien guy materialised in the middle of Paris Street roundabout (traffic circle as they call them here in Canada) hardly the most inconspicous of arrival sites & potentially fatal to escape from with or without knowlege of The Green Cross Code (He must have stood there for hours).

This seemed a quirky mix of Sapphire & Steel “lite” surreality & more conventional teen angst drama.
I remember the actor playing Bond being interviewed (on Blue Peter IIRC) & mentioned the many hours he had to spend polystyrene glued to his face.
