[Looks up from some busy work] Hullo! Welcome to this week’s…

TV Cream’s Most Unforgettable Theme!

This time, we’re voting on the theme tunes to four popular children’s factual television shows. Feel free to support your favourite, which, obviously, should be Windmill, because, otherwise Terry Nutkins has got this all-but sewn up.

This poll will close on 27 November, 2014 at 1700.

Like thousands of other kids of my generation, I was allowed to watch ITV in our house, so I’ve voted for Magpie. There used to be a fascinating video on YouTube of an edition of Magpie complete with gallery talkback. Can’t find it now. Possibly swept away due to the words “Talkback” and “Thames” appearing in its description.

Mick Robertson: a proto Russell Brand. But Russell Brand on a comedown. Or lobotomised. Or etc.

As much as find it hard to vote for the traitors’ channel, it has to be Magpie.
I have my fingers crossed for the round devoted to children’s dubbed animated part works. Ulysses 31 for the win, as I believe the young people say.

I would have to say Near & Far (from BBC Schools & Colleges). It freaked me out when I was a kid…

Susan Stranks on Magpie. Lovely. So I have to say (out of the 4) Magpie. There were rumours that Stevie Winwood sung the Magpie theme.
