Hi there, actually it was entitled ‘Whizz’ – I worked on this in 84/5 as a programme assistant and researcher. and I am singing the backing vocal ‘Whiii-iizz”s too!
For 13 weeks it filled the first slot vacated when the afternoon repeat of Play School was no longer shown.
It featured the puppeteer who did the puppetry for Pob – and in one episode Whizz appeared in the Top of The Pops studio – during the show asking for clues – I think she talked to David ‘Kid’ Jensen.
There was a tie-in computer game for the BBC Micro made by CRL who did the tie-in game for The Rocky Horror Show.
The first episode of whizz was recorded in a studio at Television Centre the night the first episode of East Enders went on air – and we all stopped to watch the opening scenes.
Ah happy fun and creative times – ‘Let’s do the Biz with Whizz’
Cheers

For years I have been trying to remember the name of this show, I remember loving it as a kid. Did Whizz have some kind of Orb thing, have a memory of it in one episode.
Is their any footage anywhere? Seems to be a very neglected show 🙁

I remember this being on but not for long, & don’t remember it being repeated more than once, if ever.
