LARDY LA cop rompery with the epicurean WILLIAM SHATNER (in “lid glued firmly on” mode), ADRIAN “BACHELOR PARTY and porn films, we hear” ZMED and HEATHER “SAMMY JO” LOCKLEAR. Inbetween the rolling off cars and earnest pacing through the cop shop, much pompous pontificating on the difference between right and wrong.

When Channel 5 repeated this I happened to switch on the TV to catch William Shatner storming through a chase scene on the streets of LA after some hapless “perp” and it looked a lot more hilarious than it did in 1983.
Back then I only watched it because of the Star Trek connection. I was too young to fully appreciate Heather Locklear. Adrian Zmed is a great name for an actor, I have to say.
