Starsky and Hutch

PAUL MICHAEL “RUNNING MAN” GLAZER and DAVID “SIX FIFTY FIVE SPECIAL” SOUL landed on their arses, drove through boxes, had fistfights whilst holding guns, reported to BERNIE HAMILTON, and got fashion tips from top pimp ANTONIO FARGAS as Huggy Bear. Back when BBC1 wasn’t afraid to bundle out imports in primetime. Or rather, couldn’t afford to do anything else.

Holds up today too, good stories, acting ect
Bought the entire series on dvd, and, got to be honest, it’s damn great still!
yeah last time i saw it i was 9 and innocent, but Jeez, watching that red car and those two guys on a Saturday night got me through some horrible weeks at school.
1970’s schools were a bullyfest, and if you ‘told’,… you were ‘dead’.
TV and then punk rock created an ‘out’, and i for one took it.
People don’t start on you when you’ve got ‘F#ck Off’ in lipstick on your white school shirt!

Funny cause by 1984 i was a pretty well known football hooligan at West Ham, all started with that white shirt…and that red car

The bit where Starsk made a towering henchman jump by saying “boo” to him was one of the coolest things I’d ever seen on TV as a kid.

    RIP David Soul.

He along with Paul Michael Glazer & Antonia Fargas were at Liverpool Comic Con a few years ago along with a red Ford Torino.

Starsky’s iconic cardigan was only actually worn in 3 episodes, but was worn in a lot of the publicity pictures.
