“WATCH ME on the video,” went the wholly unrelated theme: not the best warning of what was to come, which wasn’t “me” or “video” but the likes of NICK “LIB” WILTON, FLOELLA “FIVE” BENJAMIN, JOANNA “THAT’S” MUNRO, ANDREW “CHIPS” SECOMBE and KATE “WIZ” COPSTICK doing gagz while ROBERT “DAEWOO” HARLEY was humerous alien Milton Keenze. Initially took prized 5.35pm slot on BBC2 before “graduating” to the big channel. Annoying clown mascot drove great VT desk during the titles. Unseen Digbyesque pet called “Tiny” also featured – or at least his eight foot water dish did.

I used to love this. It was never going to set the world on fire but the cast seemed to be having a great time and it was all very infectious.

This was shown on Australian television, too.
I seem to remember Fast Forward had a vox pop segment. In this, a camera crew went to a generic looking British school, and the students would tell jokes.

I used to like the way the logo would turn into a racing car & zoom off.
For some reason a clip of a lizard walking on water would randomly turn up every other show.

Dear Admins, in Australia, there was a long running sketch comedy show, also called Fast Forward.
So, TV Cream could say;
“No relation to the Australian comedy series of the same name.”

The title sequence was fantastic. All told, though, a bit of a poor replacement for the mighty Play Away, axed the same year.
