After the Asian magazine show on a Sunday morning, there were a whole bunch of programmes over the years. I used to get up ridiculously early, watch the end of the testcard, then the selection of Ceefax pages and then suffer the adult niche dross until Playboard Puppet Theatre or Mr Men came on.
On reflection I realise this show was for people in their 60s 70s and 80s … but they actually called it the 6 O 7 O 8 O show. Not sixty seventy eighty show. Was that even worth contributing? Roy Hudd seemed old even back then.

Wow.. for some unknown reason, this show was in my dream last night! Woke up with the whole “6-O,7-O, 😯 show” phrase going through my head. Had to check on here to see if it was imaginary or not!!

Hudd at front, couple of sidekickcs with him, some humour, old people sitting around on tables in the well-likt studio as if it were a kind of cafe bar culture affair. Desperate for anything to watch before my parentss god up and got breakfast on a Sunday, what else do you watch? “Come on Mole, Hedge and Lillicrap, this is a bit dull innit.”
