THE ULTIMATE in complaining-about-nothing shows, with listeners writing in – mostly with a mouth-frothing right-wing slant – to smugly address a trivial factual error or express outrage at an inappropriate choice of holiday stand-in presenter or complain furuiously about the way in which the announcer read some end credits or that old favourite ‘left wing bias’. Usually more offensive than anything being complained about, ho ho. Very, very occasionally, someone might say they like something. How Roger Bolton copes with it all is a mystery of Easter Island proportions.
