What We Just Watched For Christmas 2020 – Part One

BACK, BACK BACK! Chris, Graham and Ian are reunited – via [Clive James voice] the latest, cutting-edge Sinclair satellite technology! – to look at a trilogy of Christmas TV shows. There’ll be one a day over the next three days.

Today’s instalment includes: Cutting oneself a sandwich, chevron chat, concerns about spending an evening at Ronnie Scott’s and – yes! – a stay under an assumed name at a posh hotel.

If you don’t want to listen to it using our player (above), then download it (34.6 MB). Or, to save you all this bother, just subscribe to our podcast via iTunes. And this is our RSS feed. And here it is on Soundcloud…

Best bit: the chevron chat. Yorkshire’s ident never improved on being incorporated into the 321 titles (they computerised them too, and they looked horrible). Nothing beat Central’s CGI revamp, though. STV’s looked like a little man at the wrong end of a stick-up.
