Creamguide(Films) Commentaries: Ghostwatch

creamguidecommentariesghostwatch

It’s time! IT’S TIME KIDS! Creamguide(Films) does Hallowe’en but doesn’t ‘do’ Halloween. Instead Chris, Craig and Jack have been watching, commenting on and swearing along to the superlative BBC drama from 1992 GHOSTWATCH. But! Is it really a drama? (Yes)

Turn it on when Parky’s name appears and enjoy the miserable old scrote do something useful for a change (and this is the BFI DVD release which we think is the same as the BBC one.)

Should your browser allow, you’ll be able to listen to it above. Or download it here (it’s 93meg). If you haven’t already, you could also subscribe. And this is our RSS feed.

And here it is on Soundcloud…

CREAMGUIDE(FILMS) REVERSE FAQ:

18. SOIL TRIMS DELIVERY or RIM IDOLS RESTIVELY
19. No it’s the one where Parky calls the woman a bad mother.
20. Published in 1995.

    That was great, guys. Thankyou

About the question you posed about younger viewers. A number of years ago I showed the DVD to my pal’s much younger wee sister who loved horror movies. She was about two at the time of broadcast so had no reason to have heard of it. She showed it to her pals under the guise of it being this notorious reality one-off from before their time. Her two pals were bricking it.

I haven’t been in touch with TVC since about ten years ago when you published my email about how much I hated Parkie. I still won’t hear a good word about the man

    Declan.

PS – next year : Halloween III?

There isn’t a BBC DVD of this, the latest one being on 101 Films, a company who tend to specialise in releasing mediocre bare bones blu-rays of the second/third rate MGM/Cannon catalogue items that Arrow and Signal One turned their noses up at, of all people. Anyhow, downloading as I type.

Thanks for the comments gentlemen – glad to hear Parkie, Saz and Smitty still have the power to put the shiters up the young generation.
