Eric ‘I did the Rutles, that was me, I’m Eric Idle’ Idle presents this and, despite the no-doubt hilarious irony inherent in the director of this film about directors who remove their names from the credits removing his name from the credits, it’s not much of a road accident. Unless you want to see Cherie ‘Manageress’ Lunghi and the ‘rappers in bad films’ memorial trio of Chuck D, Coolio and MC Lyte making fools of themselves, that is.

I could forgive this film being so shit-awful if it was at least fun to watch, but it isn’t. It’s just clunkingly poor on almost every level. The kindest thing I can think to say about it is that the picture is in sync with the sound. And I’ll never get over the depressing sight of Idle turning his baseball cap back to front and saying “cool!”.
