Blue Lamp, The

Quite apart from PC George Dixon being shot at the outset of this stalwart of British film – a career move of course not surpassed until Elvis roughly followed his example some time later – this is a tremendous slice of Britishness on celluloid well worth watching. The Sweeney it ain’t, but then The Sweeney wasn’t very realistic either.
