Boy Named Charlie Brown, A

A less well-loved entry in the canon, mainly because it’s a subtler, more downbeat affair than most, with Blockhead entering spelling bees, Linus suffering blanket withdrawal symptoms, that funny-looking kid ice-skating, and a bit of sub-Fantasia abstract son et lumiere thrown in for good measure. We’d much rather see Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (the one where they get stranded in France, and Linus teaches American kids the difference between the Moray Firth and the Firth of Forth), or better yet You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown (with Joe Cool!)

Snoopy Come Home never gets a mention, because it’s officially one of the most depressing films ever made.
