Monty Python at 50: The Self-Abasement Tapes, Wednesday, 23.00, BBC Radio 4

While we’re talking Python, we should say that we’ve been reading the Radio Times Python Special this week, which is really good, one of the best things RT have done for ages, with lots of fascinating photos and extensive reprints of articles, billings and readers’ letters (“While the rest of the country is watching Monty Python, we are getting some queer programme about Geordies”) from the archives, so it’s worth braving a visit to WH Smith, the only place you can buy it. Here’s some more off-cuts and out-takes off the LPs with Mike Palin popping up in between.
