Regardless of whether or not one feels knighthoods to have any relevance, Brucie seemed anxious to receive one, and I’m glad he has. “Brucie”, as we will learn, was a singular title all of its own and if his new laureates give verbal obstacle to that then it was a wrong move to give him it, moreson if he goes “SIR! Ben Kingsley” over it.
Never mind that – OBE for the remaining two Goodies without one! Anyone who’s read their first two books will be aware of Tim’s character’s obsessive hankering after one, so this made me smile…
