I’d LOVE to see the Latin episode, when Brian Cant and crew played Roman soldiers (marching sinister dexter sinister dexter) abd ended singing the theme song in Latin… It inspired me to study languages, and eventually to become a professor of language at Leeds University. But how can I find this classic episode?

One of the finest children’s entertainments ever made. Corny jokes and sketches, a bit of a sing-song, guessing games, high-concept arsing about by everyone’s favourite surrogate aunts and uncles, and a studio band of genuinely talented musicians laughing up their sleeves at the antics. Half the episodes wiped by the BBC because fuck society. In an ideal world, it would be endlessly repeated on BBC Four – that’s what it’s there for, isn’t it?
