Good Health

BY THE KIDS, for the kids! Uber-cheapo medical mirthcom starring the Good Health Talking Feet (two feet with faces drawn on them) and much railing against Blockaboots, depicting fashion-zombie kids going mad for the titular garishly-painted platform-mule-type shoe and ending up with (cuh!) “bad feet”. That’ll learn ’em.

Screen-grabbery:
They're in fashion today!

We had to watch this a couple of times at school. The ‘beetle crushers’ slang for anybody with black shiny shoes was rapidly replaced by ‘blockaboots’ – apart from that, it had fuck all impact on any of us.

I remember an episode of this show about dental hygiene warning against tooth decay with an evil character called Dr Sweet Tooth who ran a Speakeasy type place giving kids free candy and lollipops before a police raid closes it down and Dr Sweet Tooth is prosecuted in court. It looked like a low budget Bugsy Malone with kids dressed unconvincingly as adults, but was a lot of fun to watch compared to most most schools Tv programmes.

I remember seeing the Sweet Tooth episode, he kissed a pound note when someone paid for all their sugary goodies. Also he claimed in court that only monkeys eat bananas, which got a big laugh.

There was also an episode about hygiene with a Dirty Girtie being shown the error of her ways.
