JOHN SESSIONS and assorted Private Eye staffers repay sizeable comic debt by making a mostly successful attempt at shoehorning JB Morton’s ancient ‘it’ll never work on radio’ newspaper column whimsies into something approaching a sitcom. One of those Tinniswood-esque ‘cult favourites’ that attracted a fiercely loyal following while confusing everyone else.
