Yes, that was THE Esmond Knight, Powell/Pressburger regular/war hero in his last film. The Nuclear Man in deleted scenes was Clive Mantle, and the Sec General was played by Indira Joshi, the mother out of Kumars at No 42.
The Russian Generals included Kurt the gay chef from Fawlty Towers and John Hollis, Lobot in Empire Strikes Back and fake Blofeld in FYEO.

Cannon tried to make a musical sequel to Zorba, made the last Ustinov Poirot with Michael Winner after buying EMI and bought/merged with MGM in 1990, and would have made the third Dalton Bond, which apparently would have had Anthony Hopkins as a villain, robots in Hong Kong and an android Bond Girl.

Great commentary, even if I didn’t actually watch it alongside Superman 4, which I do own in a box-set. I’ve not seen it since I too saw it in Muirend ABC/Cannon. Twice, FFS.

Being a parochial old bastard, I’m enjoying the vintage Glasgow references. I’m looking forward to your next commentary of a shit film which I hope is just you lot saying funny things about Pearsons store in Victoria Road.
