It was a ‘you couldn’t make it up moment’. Of course another moment of the year was the same young woman overwhelmed at her progress and being awarded a place at catering college in the final episode.

Pleasant surprise of the year for me was ITV’s “Lost in Austen” which stayed the right side of originality and humour. Rare for that channel.
