All fair enough, but our beat veers more to horror films like The Creeping Flesh and Son of Dracula, her spirited Mrs Todhunter in the misbegotten Michael Winner edition of The Lady Vanishes, authentically shabby Soho striptease grimness Hussy (with Patti Boulaye!) the film of All Creatures Great and Small and even Roald Dahl pantofest The Witches.
FINEST HOUR: Changing fur coats every other shot as elegant man-eater Miss Brunner in the triumphantly loopy The Final Programme.

It wasn’t Winner, it was Hammer who did Lady Vanishes. Winner did the Wicked Lady re-make and the Big Sleep remake.
