Killer Shrews, The

Another in the annals (yep, we double-checked the spelling there) of top behind-the-scenes folk coming a cropper in the director’s chair. Here it’s Ray Kellog, compositing wizard on everything from the supernatural shenanigans of The Robe to Bilko’s exploding milk bottles in The Girl Can’t Help it, reduced to coaching Roscoe P Coltrane in the art of pretending to shoot a Labrador with a false monster head draped over it.
