    No. 6 all the way! The show that dominated my teen years, thanks to Channel 4’s repeat in their early days, and Channel 5 video release.

    It looks like The Prisoner is finally going to get away with it. Not surprising, it is in all honesty the best of these four (although All Creatures IS a very lovely piece of music).

    The Prisoner (with all the ‘What Do you want? Information!’ dialogue kept in)

    Of modern times it has to be the Roy Budd influenced theme to Life On Mars.

    What about the great Upstairs Downstairs (Downton Abbey? Nah!)
    With the brooding Elgaresque opening theme, then the gloriously upbeat ‘Uncle Arthur’ piece at the end…

    Other top themes were Colditz, Hadleigh, and General Hospital (The Girl In The White Coat)…
