It was quite remarkable on the eighties edition of this series that Jimmy Carr only had the third most irritating laugh, after the awful Micky Flanagan and Carol Bloody Vorderman, as usual building her part. We know you’re there, Carol, you don’t need to keep reminding us. We may as well complete the set by billing this, not least as David Mitchell, the world’s favourite panel show guest, is among the participants.

I’d have strongly disagreed with the ‘bloody’ ten years ago – but, sadly, not now.
