Surely there are few musical genres where the participants are as lovable as heavy metal, as every documentary looking back at the genre is full of self-deprecating humour with the bands all having their tongues firmly in their cheeks and revelling in the ridiculousness of it all. The ‘maiden are a great example as we follow them on a world tour, mostly flown around by Bruce Dickinson himself, then at eleven watch them rock out in Chile, presumably doing all the hits because that’s what the fans want.
My favourite band in the 1980s – I was heartbroken when Dickinson left!
