TV Cream’s Advent Calendar Door 20: Armful Of Presents, Going To Places
FROM 1989, the bizarre Broom Cupboard “video” for JASON DONOVAN’s ace Hit Factory seasonal symphony When You Come Back To Me, featuring the erstwhile Scott Robinson ambling around and miming to the track, while chubby-cheeked common-room siren PHILIPPA FORRESTER frugs with Santa.
There’s a mercifully brief appearance from SIMON PARKIN right at the end, but thankfully, the clip cuts out before ANDI PETERS turns up.

To be an atrocious pedant, this was actually 1990, I remember watching it on Christmas Eve, and Flipper had only joined CBBC that summer. That must be the last time anyone ever played that record, one year after its release, which is a shame because it is skill, his best record by miles.
I remember Smash Hits interviewed Jase when they were filming this, and Ver Hits reported that they had to film the bit with Flipper loads of times, with the director continually demanding Jase looked “more surprised”.
